In The Operatory
Where I Am
When not exploring the outdoors or under a blanket at home, you can find me training as a resident in the Division of Periodontology at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, KY.
Go Cats!
Some of my professional interests and passions include patient education and communication, periodontal plastic surgery, women's health, lasers, and working within organized dentistry.
Why Perio
While I enjoyed providing full scope care for my patients, I am focusing my practice on helping patients achieve and maintain optimal periodontal health. As a general dentist, I saw how foundational this is to the success of dental treatment and to overall health.
Periodontics is a specialty where I can utilize and expand my skills in patient management, interprofessional communication, and surgery while cultivating my research interests to advance both collective knowledge and the well-being of my patients.
Some areas of interest that led me to periodontics:
hard and soft tissue regeneration
women's health, influence of hormones on periodontal health
oral microbiology
utilization of lasers in dentistry
prevention and management of periimplantitis
systemic and localized inflammation
